TERMS OF SERVICE
By accessing “Institute for Religious Research” (hereinafter “we”, “us”, “our”, “IRR”, "IRR.org", http://irr.org, http://mit.irr.org, http://wit.irr.org, http://bib.irr.org, http://rel.irr.org, http://autentico.irr.org), you agree to be legally bound by the following terms. If you do not agree to be legally bound by all of the following terms then please do not access and/or use “IRR". We may change these at any time and we’ll do our utmost in informing you, though it would be prudent to review this regularly yourself as your continued usage of “IRR” after changes mean you agree to be legally bound by these terms as they are updated and/or amended.
You agree not to post any abusive, obscene, vulgar, slanderous, hateful, threatening, sexually-orientated or any other material that may violate any laws be it of your country, the country where “IRR” is hosted or International Law. Doing so may lead to you being immediately and permanently banned, with notification of your Internet Service Provider if deemed required by us. The IP address of all posts are recorded to aid in enforcing these conditions. You agree that “IRR” have the right to remove, edit, move or close any topic at any time should we see fit. As a user you agree to any information you have entered to being stored in a database. While this information will not be disclosed to any third party without your consent, neither “IRR” nor IRR.org shall be held responsible for any hacking attempt that may lead to the data being compromised.
INFORMATION COLLECTION AND USE
IRR collects personal information when you register with us. When you register we ask for information such as your name, email address, gender, ZIP code, or other information pertinent to the functioning of this website. When you register with IRR and sign in to our services, you are not anonymous to us.
IRR collects information about your transactions with us and with some of our business partners, including information about your use of financial products and services that we offer.
IRR automatically receives and records information from your computer and browser, including your IP address, some cookie information, software and hardware attributes, and the page you request.
IRR uses information for the following (but not necessarily limited to) general purposes: to customize the content you see, fulfill your requests for products and services, improve our services, contact you, and conduct research.
INFORMATION DELETION POLICY
To delete your personal information and remove it from our database, simply contact us and instruct us to remove your information. You can also use the "delete" link under your IRR.org user account under the HybridAuth tab next to your social media profile.
SPAM POLICY
We use spam-deterrent programs to prevent spam postings by bots and known spam accounts. If your username or email address is found in a database of known spammers, your account may be blocked or cancelled. If you feel this has occurred in error, please contact us and we will investigate. Our intent is to efficiently and fairly manage the content on this website for the protection and benefit of our members and the general public.
INFORMATION SHARING AND DISCLOSURE
IRR does not rent, sell, or share personal information about you with other people or non-affiliated companies. We may use the information, if:
- We respond to subpoenas, court orders, or legal process, or to establish or exercise our legal rights or defend against legal claims.
- We believe it is necessary to share information in order to investigate, prevent, or take action regarding illegal activities, suspected fraud, situations involving potential threats to the physical safety of any person, violations of IRR's terms of use, or as otherwise required by law.
- We transfer information about you if IRR is acquired by or merged with another company. In this event, IRR will notify you before information about you is transferred and becomes subject to a different privacy policy.
